Using a fine tip suction tube connected to a suction apparatus, we will insert the cannula into the ear canal and gently suction the wax out. Sometimes we might use additional instruments to assist in the removal of hard wax and dead skin. If both ears are affected the process takes approximately 30 minutes.

Trauma to the ear may occur due to sudden movement of the patient leading to the probe touching the skin of the canal. Other side effects might include Dizziness, Noise damage, and ear infections
You may find your ears feel strange for a day or two. Occasionally there may be a small amount of bleeding. You may experience short-term dizziness. A follow-up appointment may be required depending on the circumstances.
Studies have shown that microsuction is 95-99% effective in removing ear wax, making it one of the most reliable methods available. Additionally, the procedure is quick, usually taking between 15-30 minutes, and is relatively painless, with minimal discomfort experienced by patients.
For some people, having microsuction done once a year is enough to keep their ears clear and prevent any issues caused by ear wax buildup. Others can go around 18 months without noticing any ear wax issues. Some people, however, may require a microsuction appointment as frequently as every few months.
